The key board is an input
device used to enter commands and instructions into the computer system.
The keyboard functions are
usually called "SHORT-CUTS".
This is because they provide you with quick access to complex functions with
just hitting a key on the keyboard or some couples of keys.
Shortcuts are likely used by
gurus (IT experts) as they understand the importance of using them; they know
how fast they can be when they apply those shortcut keys in their day to day
use of computer.
Why waste your time going to OFFICE BUTTON (FILE) each time you want
to SAVE your work when you can just hold down your CTRL key and press S
(CTRL+S) or why stress yourself trying to Select All text in your document by
dragging from beginning to End when you can simply use this command (CTRL + A).
I am certain that most of you
Already know these simple shortcut keys, but if there is any one reading this
post who cannot apply these simple shortcuts from CTRL+A to CTRL+Z, then kindly
read Simple Microsoft Shortcuts
Without taking more of your
time, let me go straight to the main business of today.

Keyboard Shortcuts
1. CTRL
+ ALT + DELETE:
whenever you press these three keys together, it takes you to a subfunction
screen where you can choose to do the following tasks. Lock This Computer, Switch
User, Change Password etc.
2. SHIFT
+ DELETE: You
know, whenever you try to delete a file (Music, Video, Image) or Folder in your
system, the system will ask you 'Are You Sure You Want To Move (FileName) to
the Recycle Bin?). This is because
those kinds of deletes are temporary but if you want to delete a file as
described above but Permanently,
then kindly select the file or folder, hold down your Shift key and press
Delete. This time the system will ask you "Are you sure you want to Permanently delete (FileName)?. Now
click Yes and that is all. Note, any
file deleted in this format can no longer be recovered.
3. F6: The F6 key is very amazing
especially on Microsoft Office softwares. When you hit the F6 button while in
Ms-Word, it will provide you with further keys to complete series of tasks
without using the mouse. (For example, Press F6 key, look at the office menu
bar tabs like 'Home' 'Insert' etc., you would notice that all those tabs now
have labels on them like 'A' B etc. Now all you have to do is strike the Digit
or Alphabet that is placed on the tab you want to use and continue till you
complete a task . (eg, 'I' for Insert, 'T' for Table etc.)
