would think it’s all about typing and printing but far from it, Microsoft word
is the hope for our daily office transactions.
Definition: Microsoft Word is application
software, designed to create and manipulate different kinds of documents.
The
above definition is clear and self-explanatory. But for the sake of our new
comers in the Microsoft community, it is necessary that I place more clarity to
the above definition.
Firstly, Microsoft is a corporation or
organization, owned by William Henry (aka Bill Gate) and his co-founder Paul
Allen. This company (Microsoft) deals with software and hardware and several
other electronic aspects. Their presence in the computer world helped to
transform the use of computer from complex to simple. Some will likely ask “WHY”,
yes, Microsoft Company created Microsoft windows, an operating system (OS)
whose interface is user-friendly. It provides you with a well planned layouts,
tabs, bars, tools and icons etc, which the user will see and apply, rather than
then operating systems which do not show any graphics, nor have well designed
layouts for easy manipulation but basically codes and short-cuts.
